Junibacken

A playful identity 

Background

Junibacken is focused on children’s literature and reading. In summer, they have an ice cream kiosk in their garden. We were tasked with creating a new identity for the kiosk, which was being refurbished. At the same time, Junibacken’s restaurant created new ice cream recipes for the reopening. 

Solution

We took inspiration from Junibacken’s lovely restaurant, the amusement park and circus imagery. We mixed these influences together with modern type and tasty new ice cream illustrations to come up with a fresh and new look. Pastel colors and diagonal stripes added even more to the feeling of yummy candy and great fun. The updated kiosk was a big improvement to Junibacken’s outdoor area and received an immediate positive response from visitors.
